About this role
New Senior Accountant (GL) Costa Mesa, California, United States Apply Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. Senior Accountant – General GL We are looking for an exceptional Senior Accountant to strengthen Anduril's general ledger accounting and internal controls. The Accounting team owns the month-end close and reporting infrastructure behind one of the fastest-scaling companies in defense. This is a build seat more than a maintain seat: we are preparing for a future potential IPO, expanding rapidly, and integrating acquired businesses, so you will help set the processes, systems, and controls this function runs on for years. The ideal candidate will be able to support the hyper growth of our business and will therefore need to be comfortable and experienced moving at an incredibly fast pace. Come join us as we disrupt an entire industry and help take your career to the next level with a team that is charging towards changing the world of defense. WHAT YOU'LL DO
General Ledger Ownership: Own assigned general ledger account areas through the full close cycle — preparing journal entries, accruals, and flux analyses on the close calendar. Reconciliations: Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations on a timely basis, researching and resolving variances as needed. SOX Readiness: Build, document, and maintain SOX-ready process narratives, flowcharts, and key control descriptions across assigned process areas in support of public company readiness. Internal Controls Execution: Execute and evidence internal controls, including review and approval of journal entries, reconciliations, and account analyses, to ensure accuracy and compliance. Controls Design: Support the design and implementation of new internal controls as the company scales, identifying gaps and recommending improvements. Reporting & Disclosures: Prepare footnotes, disclosures, and supporting schedules to support financial reporting. Audit Support: Assist with external audit requests — preparing PBC schedules, supporting walkthroughs, and drafting technical accounting memos as needed. Systems & Process Improvement: Help implement new systems or improve efficiencies with current systems to support continued company and team growth. Controls: Contribute to the control environment by establishing, improving, and maintaining operational processes across general ledger accounting. Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner cross-functionally with other accounting sub-teams, FP&A, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting. Mindset: No job too small mentality, be curious and helpful to others.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Prioritization: Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a high growth organization.
