Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months. Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months. Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days. Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods. Company: Cobb Schedule: Monday through Thursday from 4:20 am to 2:35 pm or until complete. Some Friday work may be required based upon trial needs. Work schedule is subject to change based upon production needs.

Summary: · This position is responsible for the handling of birds and equipment for selection process by performing all essential duties in rotation with others. Other duties may be assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Setup equipment for selection process per instructions (15%) · Select birds by performing the following duties: Isolate no more than 200 birds into catch frame for selection as many times as necessary until all birds are selected; catch birds per animal welfare standards; identify gender; verify line by observing wing band color; hold clean wing band under scanner for data entry; place bird in scale cone to obtain weight repeating multiple times until complete; monitor bird groups and “stir” to avoid crowding per animal welfare guidelines; place birds received from selector in designated location such as market pen, breeder candidate coop per gender, full dissect, leg dissect based upon characteristics as instructed by selector. If designated as market remove wing bands and mark head with colored food grade dye prior to placing in area designated for market birds multiple times until complete (60%) · Euthanize off condition birds using the cervical dislocation method based upon animal welfare guidelines (10%) Other duties, responsibilities, and activities: · Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. Such as: Move partitions, back trailer, clean and sanitize equipment for movement between areas per biosecurity requirements, operate a high pressure and regular water hose, maintain equipment by checking fluid levels, filters, tire pressure, and clean/disinfect to remove debris, maintains foot pans and hand sanitizer, maintains a clean and organized work area.
