Job Description

As a Process Engineer, you’ll play a key role in optimizing production processes, enhancing product quality, and partnering with cross‑functional teams to deliver world‑class manufacturing performance. You will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and controlling manufacturing processes to consistently meet customer and business requirements. Using statistical methods, advanced process control tools, and proven continuous improvement methodologies, this role ensures processes are stable, capable, and efficient. This is a first‑shift position at our Piqua plant; however, flexibility is required to support production needs and improvement initiatives for all Hobart Brothers facilities. What You’ll Do Drive Process Excellence: Optimize and control process parameters to minimize variation and improve capability. Analyze manufacturing and quality data to identify issues, root causes, and improvement opportunities. Drive equipment and system performance improvements from baseline to best-in-class. Develop and implement corrective actions that improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery. Lead Continuous Improvement: Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events and Six Sigma projects. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Product Engineering, and Operations teams to improve performance. Coach and train operators and technical teams on process understanding and best practices. Support Operational Priorities: Support new product introductions by ensuring robust and capable processes. Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Support Manufacturing Business Plan objectives and strategic initiatives. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline 3+ years of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Experience using statistical tools to analyze data and reduce process variation Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Why You’ll Love This Role This role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact on manufacturing performance, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
