Position Overview: As an Environmental Specialist Intern you will help develop safety and environmental monitoring solutions in a nuclear environment. You will review analytical data for completeness and correctness, perform calculations and statistical analyses to assist data evaluation, assist the preparation of work plans, procedures, reports and other documentation as needed. You will also assist in sample analyses using field analytical equipment, maintain sampling equipment, and inventory of sampling supplies with assistance. Location: On-site in Erwin, Tennessee. Requirement Qualifications:
Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a B. S. degree in a technical discipline (i.e. Science, Environmental Science, Chemistry or Math preferred). Requires U.S. Citizenship with (no dual citizenship) Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation and previous employment reference verifications.
Preferred Qualifications
A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Pay: $19.57 - $25.59 The starting hourly rate for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $19.57 and $25.59 per hour. The hourly rate offered is based on local job market factors and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
