About Altruist
Altruist is transforming the multi-trillion dollar wealth management industry by building an AI platform for wealth professionals. We partner with financial advisors nationwide, empowering them to grow, optimize time and resources, and deliver superior outcomes for their clients.
We're looking for exceptional talent to help us achieve our mission of making financial advice better, more affordable, and accessible to all. If you're passionate about challenging the status quo and want to do the most important work of your life, we'd love to meet you!
But first, our values
Kindness - Kindness doesn’t just equal niceness. We listen to understand. We embrace, and encourage healthy debate and diverse perspectives. We approach conflict openly, honestly, and respectfully.
Brilliance - Humility is the skill we’re most proud of and possessing a growth mindset is always top of mind. We take ownership in everything we touch; regularly using our unique superpowers to reach a common goal as a team. We succeed and fail as one.
Grit - When challenges arise, we stay laser focused on achieving our mission and finding a way forward, even when it’s hard. We are nimble and maintain a sense of urgency, swiftly adapting to change and overcoming obstacles.
The opportunity
The Advisor Support Manager (ASM) is a high-impact, client-facing role responsible for owning the day-to-day service relationship with some of Altruist’s largest and most strategic RIA firms.
The ASM is the firm’s central point of contact for day-to-day support and operational needs, while Sales and Relationship Management own the commercial relationship. You’ll develop a deep understanding of how each firm operates so you can guide them in how they work with and get the most out of Altruist, not just step in when something becomes complex or escalated.
You’ll build trusted relationships across the firm, from operations teams to executive leadership. Doing this well requires strong judgment, presence, and emotional intelligence. You’ll deliver both positive and difficult messages, thoughtfully position Altruist’s capabilities and limitations, and know when to advocate internally for a gap versus helping the firm reach its goal another way.
When complex issues span multiple teams or competing priorities, you’ll create clarity, align the right people, and drive a path toward resolution. You may not own every piece of the underlying work, but you’ll own making sure the issue moves forward and the firm’s experience is managed along the way.
Your proximity to the firm also gives you an important view into what Altruist can do better. You’ll identify patterns across your portfolio, prioritize the most important themes, and translate what you’re hearing into meaningful insight for Product, Operations, Sales, and other internal teams.
The ASM plays a critical role in advisor trust, retention, and growth. We’re looking for people who want to become exceptional at this craft, people who are curious, thoughtful, calm under pressure, and motivated to help build a best-in-class service relationship function.
This role is for you if
• You want to become one of the best service relationship managers in the industry.
• You build trust quickly and use strong judgment to navigate different people, priorities, and situations.
• You can zoom out to understand the broader goal and zoom back in to drive the details needed
