Job Summary
We are looking for a Thermal Architect to join our world-class System Architecture Team in Jabil Taiwan. This role plays a critical part in shaping the next-generation thermal design strategy for high-performance server platforms, and will be a key driver in system-level feasibility studies and architecture definition. You will drive thermal architecture from the concept phase, working closely with EE, ME, BIOS, BMC, and power architects to deliver robust, cost-effective, and scalable thermal architecture solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Define system-level thermal architecture for high-power server platforms (e.g., GPU servers, liquid cooling, MGX) Ensure compliance with Intel and AMD thermal requirements for enterprise-grade platforms Conduct feasibility studies and trade-off analyses for various thermal solutions Collaborate with teams to define thermal requirements during concept and RFQ stages Interface with suppliers and customers to drive early technical alignment and innovation Participate in technical engagement with global customers, helping evangelize Jabil’s capabilities Contribute to Architecture Decks, NUDDs, PRD input, and building block definition Evaluate air/liquid cooling technologies and industry trends to build roadmap strategies Evaluate and compare thermal technologies including heat pipe, vapor chamber, cold plate, and high-flow liquid cooling. Monitor and incorporate industry trends and thermal guidelines including DC-MHS and ORV3 Technical Skills Hands-on experience in Thermal architecture and implementation Familiar with CFD tools (e.g., Icepak, FloTHERM) Proven experience delivering thermal design in concept or early stages Ability to propose innovative ideas and trade-offs based on system constraints Familiarity with MGX, ORV3, DC-MHS, and hyperscaler thermal specs is a plus Experience in networking thermal architecture (e.g., 800G/400G/200G switch) will be considered a plus.
