We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time RF Test Systems Engineer 1 located onsite in McKinney, TX supporting Surveillance & Tactical Radar Solutions (STaRS) Test Automation. The Test Automation Department (TAD) is responsible for the design and development of test equipment, hardware and software for a wide range of products and customers. The STaRS Test Automation section within TAD is a growing and highly motivated team who consistently provides quality on-time on-cost solutions to support external and internal customers seeking innovative and economical solutions for their product lines. The section also supports change incorporation and obsolescence redesign efforts of various legacy systems in direct support of production capabilities. Responsibilities to Anticipate: Support troubleshooting of test equipment, circuit boards, cables, etc Work independently and drive toward goals Collaborate with cross functional teams to deploy test solutions that meet technical and production test needs. Support Lead Test Development engineers in the design, integration, verification, and validation of production test solutions for RF modules, RF CCAs, antenna subassemblies as well as power supplies/computing subassemblies Analyze data gathered and develop solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiency of work Facilitate project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior experience Typically requires 1 year of experience with emphasis in Automation Test Equipment/Unit Under Test (ATE/UUT) Test Systems Engineering or equivalent Engineering experience for both hardware and test software development, integration, verification, validation, and maintenance activities within production/manufacturing/product qualification environments Experience working and communicating effectively within a cross functional team (test personnel (electrical, software, mechanical, etc.).
Qualifications
We Prefer Experience with RF technology across Communications and Radar systems Experience using test software such as MATLAB, Test Stand, Test Executive, etc. This position does not involve commercial or carrier‑grade RF technologies (such as cellular wireless or 5G networks). Instead, this role focuses on military‑grade RF systems , including radar, electronic warfare, and secure communications technologies. What
