This role ensures reliable, available, and high-performing electrical, mechanical, and controls systems through disciplined maintenance programs, proactive risk management, and adherence to critical environment standards.

Job Description

Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for electrical, mechanical, and controls systems supporting mission-critical operations. Own the maintenance strategy to support reliability, resiliency, and uptime objectives. Manage CMMS work order development, planning, scheduling, backlog prioritization, and reporting. Ensure maintenance work follows approved SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and change management procedures. Coordinate vendor and contractor maintenance, testing, commissioning, and repair activities. Monitor system performance through BMS, EPMS, and DCIM platforms; escalate and resolve issues as needed. Lead incident response and root cause analysis for equipment failures, service interruptions, and operational anomalies. Maintain compliance with LOTO, electrical safety, arc flash, OSHA, NFPA, and related safety requirements. Develop and track maintenance KPIs, including compliance rates, equipment performance, and reliability trends. Support capacity planning, infrastructure upgrades, and lifecycle asset management for critical systems. Plan and execute maintenance outages to minimize risk to uptime and operational continuity. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, asset history, procedures, and system configurations. Lead, coach, and develop maintenance personnel through technical guidance, training, and performance management. Support commissioning, QA/QC, and turnover of new or modified infrastructure systems. Partner with operations, engineering, and project teams to ensure integrated system performance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve reliability, efficiency, and risk reduction. Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews related to maintenance programs. Maintain emergency response readiness and participate in after-hours incident support and escalation.

Requirements

7–10 years of experience in data center operations, critical facilities engineering, or mission-critical environments. Proven experience leading maintenance programs and technical teams. Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, HVAC, and cooling systems. Experience using CMMS platforms for maintenance planning, scheduling, and reporting. Experience with BMS, EPMS, or DCIM platforms for monitoring and performance analysis. Ability to interpret electrical one-lines, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation. Experience supporting commissioning, QA/QC, and infrastructure turnover activities. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in high-availability environments. Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including TIA-942, NFPA, NEC, OSHA, and site-specific requirements. Experience managing vendor contracts, performance, and service delivery. Ability to support 24/7 operations, including on-call rotations and emergency response. Relevant certifications preferred, such as CDCP, DCEP, trade licenses, or equivalent credentials.
