About this role
The Enterprise Services and Public Affairs (ESPA) team’s mission is to enhance how our internal and external stakeholders — including colleagues — perceive and experience Citi by protecting the reputation of the firm, its businesses and the brand. The Global Communications team is an agile, high-impact group that nimbly covers a broad scope of responsibilities ranging from executive communications to corporate culture and reputation. Within this framework, the Wealth Communications team specifically focuses on strengthening the reputation of the businesses, products and functions of Citi Wealth. Our mission is to engage key audiences through comprehensive communication strategies that support key business objectives, particularly in high-growth areas like U.S. Retail Banking, Citi Private Bank, Wealth at Work and Citigold. Across all our efforts, we embody a high-energy, collaborative, and results-oriented culture. We seek proactive individuals who can anticipate needs, think critically, solve problems effectively, and maintain high professional standards with strong judgment and thoughtful work product. We approach every task with a client-service mindset, striving for excellence with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
About The Role
We’re looking for a sharp, strategic, and high-stamina communicator to join Citi’s Wealth’s communications team. This role will be focused on writing for the Head of Citi Wealth. You’ll help articulate his voice, vision, and strategy internally and externally as he leads Citi Wealth through a period of growth. This role will support a range of internal and external speaking engagements including townhalls, media interviews, video scripts, social media posts, and talking points. This is a fast-paced, intellectually rigorous role that requires exceptional writing skills, sound judgment, and a clear understanding of global business, wealth management, financial services, artificial intelligence, and the broader macro environment. You’ll need to synthesize complexity, connect the dots across the Wealth division and the broader firm, and help build credibility with audiences both inside and outside Citi. The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in executive communications, financial journalism, or political speechwriting and will thrive in a newsroom-style environment where quality and pace go hand in hand. This is an exciting moment for Citi Wealth—and for this role—as we drive progress across the business and redefine how we engage with our clients, colleagues and other stakeholders.
