And so much more.​      ​Come break through with us.   Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Scope of Role

Corning is seeking a Night Shift Warehouse Supervisor to lead logistics operations including shipping, receiving, and packaging at one of our cable manufacturing facilities. This role carries direct supervisory responsibility for hourly associates and contingent workforce members, with genuine opportunity to grow and progress across the organization.

Lead safe, efficient night shift operations across warehouse, shipping, and receiving areas; proactively identify and report unsafe conditions to maintain a safe work environment Direct shipping, receiving, and packaging activities to meet operational goals for quality, cost, and on-time performance; develop, train, and coach team members to drive accountability for individual and team objectives Manage employee time and attendance to support accurate and timely payroll processing Maintain metric tracking and reporting for shipping and receiving performance and costs Ensure accuracy of raw material and finished goods inventory; oversee inventory management processes and reporting

Work Location, Hours & Travel Requirements

Location: Winston-Salem, NC Ability to work 12 hour rotational night shift. This position requires flexibility and will include hours during night, day and weekend shifts. Travel: <5% domestic travel

Experiences/Education - Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university 3+ years of experience in a production environment 5+ years of logistics, shipping, and/or receiving experience 3+ years of supervisory experience Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Experiences/Education - Desired

SAP system knowledge with a focus on shipping and inventory functions Demonstrated Lean manufacturing capabilities

This position does not support immigration sponsorship.     The range for this position is $88,942.00 - $122,295.00 assuming full time status.
