Citi offers significant opportunities for career growth and internal mobility. The Financial Analyst (FA) Program is a premier two-year, entry-level leadership development program. Through diversified rotational experiences, you will gain a unique perspective on Citi Finance while supporting various business lines and disciplines, including Controllers, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and the Finance Chief Operating Office (COO). In this role, your work will make an immediate impact. As part of Citi Finance, you will contribute to a function that is: The guardian and communicator of key financial information and controls for both internal and external stakeholders. The strategic driver of franchise-level decisions on capital planning, liquidity, budgeting, tax, strategic direction, and policy management. A critical business partner providing the data-driven analysis that enables Citi’s leaders across global products, regions, and disciplines to make sound, strategic decisions. We provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed. To ensure you can make an immediate impact, all FAs participate in a comprehensive training program at the onset of your program. Your journey begins with a global Citi orientation, followed by intensive technical and professional skills training covering topics such as presentation, communication, and leadership development. This foundational training prepares you to contribute meaningfully from day one of your first rotation. Your time here will look something like this... The FA Program consists of two distinct, one-year rotations designed to build a robust financial foundation, expand your professional network, and prepare you for future leadership roles within Citi Finance. Throughout this 24-month journey, you will accelerate your learning and contribute directly to key Finance priorities: Diversified Rotational Placements: To maximize your professional development, you will be placed in a specific role within a different Finance discipline for each rotation (prior Summer Analysts will typically rotate into a new team). High-Impact Responsibilities: Working closely with management teams, you will add direct value through hands-on responsibilities such as product control, financial closings and consolidations, developing financial controls, management reporting, planning and analysis, and managing balance sheets and liquidity. Post-Program Placement: Upon successful completion of the 24-month program, you will be prepared and eligible for permanent, off-program placement opportunities within Citi Finance. You are currently pursuing a BA/BS degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field (with a graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027). You have a strong academic record, with a preferred GPA of 3.3 or higher. You are legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application; Citi will not sponsor visa applications for this position. You possess a strategic, analytical mindset with an intellectual curiosity for creative problem-solving. You are an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and agile thinker who can manage multiple priorities and identify opportunities for process improvement. You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and collaborate to achieve team and client objectives.
