Position
Summary: This role, the Junior Scientific Support Specialist will play a crucial role primarily on supporting our customer in Baby Care R&D Testing Laboratory in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). With your sound technical knowledge, you will ensure compliance with good laboratory practices, Good Manufacturing practices and Good Documentation practices.
Responsibilities
Demonstrating a high level of customer focus and responsiveness including direct interaction with customer(s) and their operation team(s) in: Implementing required quality management systems to ensure customer work scope, results, and team performance meets approved SOPs and organization's safety and quality requirements. Coordinate and review with client and other team members on assigned tasks. Participating in cost, quality, and efficiency improvement initiatives driven by the Team Lead. Mentoring and cross-training staff with a standardized training program and documentation. Completing and reviewing work assignments and adjusting workload and resources periodically with the team. Coordinate and ensure timely calibration of laboratory equipment. Maintain good laboratory housekeeping with the team. Supervise and assess operation and project execution resources and workload. Review any adjustments required periodically with manager and customers Additionally, your laboratory operations responsibilities will involve: Review sample receiving, submission and completion status Manage uncollected sample disposal after completion of analysis Promptly document test results and performed peer review Routine housekeeping and cleanliness of equipment and laboratory Assists in operational, quality deviation and Out of Specification (OOS) report. Managed expired products, samples and chemical waste disposal Maintain consumables, chemicals and reagent inventory Provide in-house support of laboratory equipment calibration, maintenance and user records as per SOPs. Perform stability sample pull in and out of stability chamber. Manage the cleanliness of equipment, samples and consumables in Baby Care storage room.
Requirements
Diploma in Applied Chemistry/ Science or related discipline. Fresh graduate is welcome to apply, or Minimum of 1 years of relevant working experience in a analytical laboratory environment would be preferred. Has sound knowledge of “good laboratory practices” quality guidelines and regulations (cGMP). Good interpersonal and coordination skills to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed. Independent, self-motivated, and adaptable in a multifaceted environment. An excellent team builder and player with strong technical knowledge coupled with a hands-on demeanor and excellent problem-solving skills Interactive with good written and oral communications.
