The Opportunity

We are looking for an experience leader to lead a team of manufacturing engineers responsible for designing, validating & implementing complex processes for all aspects of Articulated Truck manufacturing. The role will span capital equipment procurement, increasing automation of new & existing processes & the application of Advanced Manufacturing techniques to improve current operation processes. In addition to the above, the role will also involve in depth involvement in the development of manufacturing process for future Articulated Truck products as part of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.   Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:   Lead, develop, and mentor a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Engineering Specialists. Create a high-performing, customer-focused culture that values safety, quality, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Establish team objectives and development plans aligned with business goals. Support production teams in resolving complex manufacturing issues and implementing sustainable corrective actions. Develop business cases and capital expenditure proposals for manufacturing investments. Manage capital projects from concept through implementation while ensuring delivery within budget and schedule. Partner with Product Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability of new products and design changes. Lead manufacturing readiness activities for new product launches and major product updates, including coordinating process validation, pilot builds, and production trials. Identify, evaluate, and implement manufacturing technologies that enhance operational performance and business competitiveness. Support digital transformation strategies through adoption of innovative production methods and technologies. Benchmark industry best practices and assess emerging technologies for future application. Degree Requirement    Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an appropriate engineering or technical discipline or equivalent experience desired.  Skills, experience & qualifications you will have:  Lean Manufacturing:  Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.  Manufacturing Processes:  Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process.    Performance Management:  Knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply organization's performance management system, practices, and tools to developing and improving individual, team, and organizational performance.
