The Mechanical Assembler II is responsible for assembling, installing, and testing mechanical and electromechanical assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, quality standards, and customer specifications. This role performs more complex assembly operations, supports troubleshooting activities, and works independently to ensure products are manufactured safely, accurately, and efficiently. The Mechanical Assembler II may assist in training and supporting less experienced team members while helping maintain production, quality, and safety goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Assemble mechanical and electromechanical products according to engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality requirements. • Install and assemble components including valves, fittings, hoses, tubing, brackets, fasteners, electrical connections, and related hardware. • Verify proper torque application and installation of mechanical components in accordance with engineering and quality standards. • Interpret assembly drawings, bill of materials, schematics, and manufacturing documentation to complete assigned work. • Perform functional checks, inspections, and basic troubleshooting of assemblies to identify and correct issues before final production stages. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, torque tools, measuring devices, and material handling equipment safely and effectively. • Support production schedules by completing assemblies accurately and efficiently while meeting quality expectations. • Identify and communicate assembly, material, tooling, or process issues to appropriate team members. • Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions related to assembly quality concerns. • Support preventative maintenance activities on production tooling and equipment as required. • Maintain accurate production records, documentation, and system transactions as required. • Assist in training and supporting Manufacturing Technician I employees on assembly processes and workmanship standards. • Support 5S, safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing area. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. • Adhere to all company safety, quality, environmental, and security policies and procedures. • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications: • Minimum three (3) years of manufacturing, mechanical assembly, industrial assembly, HVAC, maintenance, electromechanical assembly, or related experience required. • Experience reading and interpreting assembly drawings, blueprints, schematics, and work instructions required. • Experience assembling mechanical systems utilizing valves, fittings, tubing, hoses, fasteners, and electrical connections preferred. • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, measuring devices, and assembly equipment safely and accurately. • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate manufacturing systems and software. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. • Ability to identify problems, troubleshoot assembly issues, and implement corrective actions. • Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions. • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced,
