Job Title: Staff Engineer II - Digital Asset Location: TX - Dallas/Irving What you'll do: As a Staff Engineer II – Digital Asset you'll provide expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing high-volume and high-performance applications. AS the Staff Engineer, II, you'll facilitate dialogue and activities to ensure team collaboration including teams outside of your domain. You'll develop effective presentations and narratives for their teams. This role requires deep knowledge of front-end and back-end technologies, microservices architecture, APIs, and cloud-based database management. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing SQL and NoSQL Azure-managed databases (Azure SQL and Azure Cosmos DB) and will play a key role in ensuring application security, scalability, and reliability. Lead the strategic planning of a project as it relates to technical solution design. Design and implement engineering principles aimed at reliability practices and sound recovery procedures. Design transaction specific application performance monitoring metrics that can be captured and passed to business partners. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations and procedures while also ensuring compliance with IT policies, procedures, and industry standards. Develop desktop procedures when needed that others follow. Implement advanced .NET backend development concepts, including asynchronous programming, multithreading, dependency injection, and API optimizations. Design and manage RESTful APIs, ensuring rate limiting, authentication, authorization, observability, and efficient data processing. Develop and manage microservices architecture, implementing event-driven patterns, API gateways, service discovery, and containerization. Ensure application performance optimization, including caching strategies, database indexing, and load balancing. Manage and optimize Azure Cosmos DB, ensuring efficient data modeling, partitioning strategies, and query performance tuning. Implement DevSecOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated security testing, and infrastructure-as-code deployment. Integrate advanced SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) practices to ensure high-quality code, test-driven development (TDD), and continuous integration. Strengthen application security through OWASP best practices, API security mechanisms, secure coding principles, and identity management. Work in a fast-paced, agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and deliver payment solutions. Implement observability tools (such as AppDynamics, ELK, and Grafana) to monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
What you'll need
7+ years of experience in full-stack development, with expertise in ReactJS and .NET. Bachelor's degree in related field required. Previous leadership experience preferred. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking is preferred. Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices. Advanced proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Additional experience with pipeline development and leveraging Azure DevOps while working on multiple projects simultaneously. Advanced ability to see the big picture and align projects with organizational goals. Capable of leading and motivating cross-functional teams. Expertise in resolving conflicts and addressing challenges as well as skilled at identifying and mitigating risks at the project level. Proficient in governance patterns tied to intake, technical reviews and architectural compliance. Proven experience in developing high-volume, high-performance applications for payment channels or financial services. Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB, including query optimization and partitioning strategies. Expertise in
