Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Sr. Production Associate - SWBD Set-Up Line. The hours for this positon are 5:00 am- 1:30 pm The hourly rate for this position is 19.25 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you’ll do: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Eaton is currently seeking a Sr. Production Associate in Switchboard Assembly to join our team. This position is based out of our Sumter, SC facility. In the Sr. Production Associate you will work with the Supervisor to drive results on key metrics including safety, quality, delivery and productivity. You will provide leadership by promoting teamwork, training others and providing proactive resolution to production needs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • You will promote a safe, engaged and inclusive work culture by proactively addressing and resolving concerns, and escalating issues to your supervisor as appropriate. • You will assist the Team Leader/Supervisor in working with the manufacturing team to ensure that customer orders are executed in a timely and efficient manner and that the most urgent orders are fulfilled first. • You will review orders and associated documentation (drawings, travel documents, bills of material) as needed to ensure the team has the appropriate information to complete the job and to assist with troubleshooting problems with the order documentation. • You will communicate professionally to provide updates on the status of specific orders, resolve issues with production and promote teamwork across departments. • You will assist the Team Leader/Supervisor in the assessment, selection, training and development of employees as the technical subject matter expert. You will ensure a flexible workforce through cross training in critical positions. • You will delegate tasks and align resources as appropriate to meet production goals including working in a production associate capacity due to absenteeism/leaves of absence. • You will work with the team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive assigned projects to completion. Qualifications: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution. • 1 year of manufacturing or operations experience. • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Sumter facility (50 mile radius) will be considered for this position. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Working knowledge of Lean concepts. • 6 months of leadership experience managing people or project teams. • Experience with Eaton systems including order entry (Vista), material management (DMM), MRP/ERP (AS400) Skills: POSITION CRITERIA: • Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment. • Able to direct and influence others without formal leadership authority. • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs. •
