This r ole will be within the R&T department as part of the Engineering organization conducting research and development of primarily but not limited to Composite technologies based in Riverside, CA.
What You Will Do
Utilize manufacturing process experience to provide technical support and executing prototype and demonstrator builds . Working closely with Engineers and Engineering Technicians, supporting daily process development. Support the development of technologies in adherence with TRL and MRL toll gates. Interacting between Engineering groups ( P rograms, C hief E ngineer O ffice, A ftermarket, manufacturing/operations, facilities, supply chain, test labs, suppliers and customers); ensuring on-time and quality execution of materials & process project tasks and deliverables. Ensures adherence to all compliance requirements (TRL, MRL, EHS, CMS, QMS, PPAP etc.) . Engages in problem solving initiatives & challenges status quo ( e.g. root cause and corrective action investigations, OEE, FPY, customer escapes) . Participates in process improvement and continuous improvement activities. Implements results of lean manufacturing initiatives.
Qualifications
You Must Have: Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. 3-5 years of hands on, industry experience in the field of composite manufacturing, ideally with a strong focus on composite Aerostructures .
Qualifications
We Prefer: Knowledge of thermoset and thermoplastic composite material & processing specifications for Aerospace industry. Product development and introduction experience .
