About the role
Assists in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment. Under direct supervision/guidance, compiles, analyzes, and reports operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified products, processes, or materials.
Your responsibilities will include
Undertake and successfully complete simple or basic project/product development tasks to include any of the following: writing and/or verifying specifications; maintaining product/process documentation; testing processes, equipment, raw materials, and product; and validating equipment and processes
May assist in inventing/creating concepts and designs/approaches for new products/processes/test methods
Design, procure, and fabricate simple tooling and fixtures
Design and coordinate rudimentary engineering tests and experiments
Apply the Technical Development Process (TDP)/Product Development Process (PDP) methodologies
Prepare standard reports/documentation to communicate results to technical community
Complete basic tasks on engineering documentation
Train technicians/operators on new processes and/or test procedures
Identify areas for improvement, suggest solutions, and submit idea records
Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering or Bioengineering
Experience with medical device industry standards
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
3 months of Research and Development experience, including engineering testing and statistical data analysis
Prior internship experience with Boston Scientific
Preferred qualifications
Strong communications and time management abilities
Computer aided design proficiency in SolidWorks
