About the role: Electrical Engineer / Software Engineer needed to develop machine vision inspection systems and custom automated control systems used in the development and production of medical devices. Will work with equipment/software engineers to design machine vision systems, including concepts, prototypes, software development and troubleshooting for complex manufacturing and test equipment. Assists in the development of manufacturing and test equipment used in the development and production of medical devices. Under direct supervision or as member of a team develops electrical/software specifications, designs, and builds of manufacturing and test equipment. Work Mode: At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Design Vision systems including specifying cameras, lighting and lensing requirements Participates on project teams to develop clear specifications, evaluates feasibility of concepts and provides formal estimates for vision system designs Integrates machine vision systems into a PC or PLC based system Understands industry standards with Artificial intelligence or deep machine learning to solve vision inspections Communicate costs and project status to project lead Collect and analyze inspection results to prove robustness of vision system changes Complete project deliverables and monitor project schedule and scope changes to assure team can meet delivery requirements Completes FDA/QSR software requirements by assisting in the creation of specifications and qualifications of equipment Provides training as required to ensure that the software/vision solutions can be operated effectively Troubleshoot machine vision and controls systems using pneumatic and electrical schematics Create supporting design documentation Procures standard machine vision components Completes project deliverables and monitors project schedules and scope changes to assure team can meet delivery requirements.

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience required 2 years of relevant experience preferred
