Purpose and Objectives Are you an experienced tax professional looking to take on a dynamic regional role? We are looking for a Senior Tax Specialist to join our International Tax Team in Warsaw. You will act as Local Tax Manager for countries in the Middle Eastern European (MEE) region, with a primary focus on Poland , Hungary , and the Czech Republic . Beyond your core markets, you will take an active role in cross-regional tax initiatives—partnering with local teams and global finance and business. If you are enthusiastic about driving tax strategy, managing regional tax governance, and optimizing processes across all areas of direct and indirect taxation, this role offers you the perfect opportunity to make an impact. Expectation and Task
Serve as primary point of contact for all tax related matters of our legal entities in Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and other MEE countries (CIT, VAT, WHT, tax accounting, transfer pricing) and act as trusted tax expert. Collaborate with the Global Tax Team and broader finance function to identify, plan, and execute opportunities for strategic tax planning and optimization. Scale AI-driven solutions across teams to transform tax operations, automating manual compliance processes, strengthening data-driven insights and improving compliance quality. Oversee transfer pricing policies and ensure full compliance with intercompany transactions. Manage tax controversy and risk mitigation, including tax authority/auditor relations and external advisor budgets. Function as a trusted business advisor, providing guidance to other departments on the tax implications of business decisions to ensure high stakeholder satisfaction. Proactively engage in Tax Law Monitoring and manage the proper implementation of changes, coordinating with IT and key business stakeholders. Contribute to effective tax rate and cash tax management for subsidiaries across the MEE region.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
University degree (or equivalent) in tax, business studies, economics, finance, or a related field. Strong communication skills and a positive team player with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Familiarity with international tax matters and transfer pricing items. A CPA, qualified Tax Advisor, or similar certification is a plus. Enjoy analytical thinking. Growth Mindset; self-driven. Proficient in English (both written and spoken). Polish and/or Czech language skills are highly desired.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Up to 5 years of working experience in a tax or finance function within a multinational organization or similar environment. Practical experience with tax matters in Poland, Hungary, or the Czech Republic is a strong advantage. Experience in other MEE countries is a plus.
