Job Summary

Oversee and directs daily plant operations including production and manufacturing, maintenance, engineering support, safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Overseeing programs and practices for hiring, performance management and developing/training the personnel that perform and support the plant operating functions. Directing all aspects of manufacturing operations for the plant or facility to produce cost-effective, timely and high-quality products in a safe, secure and sanitary working environment. Managing development, implementation and continual improvement of the operating methods, equipment, systems, and other operating infrastructure used to realize operating goals and objectives. Directing development of production work schedules to meet internal goals and customer expectations; monitoring process and personnel performance of scheduled work activities to remove operating impediments and achieve established operating goals.

Quality Management: Interprets results of quantitative and statistical tools and explains results to others. Conducts and directs quality reviews. Develops quality assurance processes based on Six Sigma, ISO 9000 Planning and Organizing: Optimizes time, tools, and resources to achieve desired results. Manages links among multiple projects and anticipates the impact of the project's outcome on all concerned. Tracks successes to establish processes viewed as effective for the entire enterprise. Performance Management: Plays a leading role in designing individual and team reward and recognition systems. Identifies key issues in integrating selection, development, recognition, and reward systems. Coaches less experienced managers in the processes of performance management. Problem Solving: Captures lessons learned from problem-solving efforts. Leads teams to resolve complex operational issues. Apply appropriate tools and techniques to solve problems. Collaborating: Builds collaborative processes that support business goals. Establish shared goals and encourage cross-functional input. Ensure teams have access to common data and insights. Lean Manufacturing: Leads adoption of lean manufacturing principles across the organization. Explain how lean connects operations, customers, logistics and product development. Advice on work cell design and plant layout aligned to lean principles. Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Contributes to best practices for accuracy and quality. Processes detailed information with a high degree of accuracy. Balances speed and accuracy in daily work. Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced English Top Candidates also have: Master’s degree in Engineering, Management, Business, or a related field. Extensive expertise in staff and supervisory management roles. Expert in P&L management, quality systems and manufacturing operations, including budgeting, forecasting, Six Sigma, CQMS, ISO, Lean, APQP, safety, performance management, project planning, manufacturing standards and NPI/NSI processes.

Additional Information

Location: Cienega de Flores, Nuevo León Facility. This position is five-day a week in-office model. Domestic and international travel of up to 10% may be required.
