As our next Receiving Inspection Technician - 1st Shift (M-F 5:30a.m.-2:00p.m.), you’ll be at the forefront of shaping our organization’s success. Apply inspection techniques using a variety of hand inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, ring gages and programmable test equipment such as Optical Gaging, Coordinate Measuring Machine and Micro-view. Initiate non-conformances and maintain appropriate records as needed. Provide support for other inspection functions. Assist in evaluation of inspection methods/fixtures and providing improvement recommendations in conjunction with Quality Engineering/Engineering. Operates within CPC BOS (Quality System). Active participant in Continuous Improvement and Lean projects. Keeps current in the field with internal and external education and training. Assists with quality systems audits with suppliers. Adheres to all safety regulations. Demonstrates support of CPC core values. Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications: Basic Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Good communication skills. Working knowledge of MS Office; Word and Excel. Able to collect, analyze, and report data. Self-driven and able to work with limited supervision. Ability to self-prioritize, multitask and expedite in support of production needs. This role may require 5% travel domestically. Candidates should be comfortable with occasional travel as needed to support business objectives.

Preferred Skills

Preferred experience in a regulated work environment such as Medical Device/Bio-pharm/Automotive.

Oracle or similar ERP software experience preferred. Familiar with 1809001 guidelines and GMP preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and written specifications preferred. Previous experience with optical or coordinate measurement machines preferred.
