Role
Overview This role develops and maintains strategic initiatives to support department and business objectives . The position manages customer and manufacturer programs across all segments . This individual is expected to leverage SQL-driven analysis along with deep industry knowledge to make decisions that support our mission of equitable distribution and that our proprietary programs meet our customer’s needs . This position is expected to be forward looking , partnering with many teams to ensure that we are managing based on future expectations and staying ahead of the industry challenges. Individual will serve as a technical resource to less-experienced analysts, and contribute to the development of new analytical methods, tools, and best practices that advance the team’s capabilities beyond established procedures .
Key Responsibilities
Develops and maintains additional strategic programs to meet key business goals or customer requirements via data analytics and market conditions . Partner with strategic business owners to identify goals and objectives . Co-present the purpose and goals of each initiative to key business partners to build trust. Manage (and automate to the extent possible) the existing customer and manufacturer programs to continue meeting business goals. Develop , analyze, interpret, and distribute reporting for both internal and external stakeholders. Attend customer or manufacturing facing calls as needed to influence, resolve issues, and ensure that we are supporting the business stakeholder needs and showing that we are a true collaboration partner. Own intake, analysis, and response for ad hoc requests received via the shared mailbox, ensuring accurate and timely delivery within established SLAs. Develop strong relationships with internal McKesson teams and develop solutions to quickly respond to, resolve customer issues, and represent strategic operations as a principal point of contact on cross-functional initiatives/ Continuously evaluate and improve inventory management processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Develop resolutions to highly complex , ambiguous problems that require the frequent use of creativity, anticipating change and redirecting efforts as business priorities shift . Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline operations. Balance strategic program development with hands ‑ on execution, including analysis, reporting, and operational follow ‑ through.
Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
Education
4-year degree in business, finance, marketing, supply chain, or related field, or equivalent experience Critical Skills 7+ years experience in areas such as operations, product management, purchasing , marketing/sales, and or finance Proficient in SQL, with ability to independently write, modify , and maintain code Strong project management skills Power BI is a plus Masters degree is a plus Additional Skills Ability to interpret complex data to evaluate and recommend business opportunities Demonstrated process
