The role focuses on building scalable, efficient, and maintainable applications, leveraging advanced ABAP techniques and modern programming models.   As a technical lead, the developer collaborates closely with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust technical designs. They drive solution architecture, enforce development standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure performance optimization and clean-core principles are followed across implementations.   The role also involves developing advanced extensions and integrations using SAP BTP, RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP), and cloud-native approaches. First level contact for the Business Analysts for any inquiries re: application or technical support and potential technical solutions.

Analyzes business requirements and functional specifications to determine effective technical solutions to support the business across multiple entities (divisions, functions, countries)

Provide technical solutions and governance for SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP ABAP solutions, ensuring compliance with architecture standards, development guidelines, and best practices.

Designs complex solutions across multiple functions, business units, technical tools and/or systems. Designs, codes, tests, and implements new application programs and/or modifies existing programs.

Considers trade-offs between performance, scalability, reliability, availability, maintainability, manageability and business requirements.

Provides post implementation application support and regular system maintenance and support which will periodically require evening, weekend, and on-call support.
