Cardinal Health Canada, with over 1,300 employees nationwide, is an essential link in the Canadian healthcare supply chain, providing over 70,000 products to healthcare facilities and medical professionals across the country. The Consultant, Pricing Operations & Controls is responsible for monitoring pricing performance, profitability, compliance, and operational controls across the pricing lifecycle. This role analyzes trends, identifies risks, investigates root causes, and drives corrective actions to improve pricing accuracy, protect gross profit, and reduce customer impact. This position is a two-day hybrid role, reporting to our Vaughan Head Office. The role partners closely with various internal stakeholders to ensure pricing controls remain effective and that emerging risks are identified before they result in significant financial or customer impact. This role is both strategic and tactical and requires ability to shift mindset between the two levels of performance as both are equally required. For more information on what it is like to work for us, please watch our Cardinal Health - Wings Your Contributions to the Organization: Understand product and category strategy, financial objectives, and pricing expectations to align control activities and analysis with broader business priorities Protect revenue and profitability by proactively analyzing gross profit performance; monitoring negative and low gross profit trends; reviewing supplier contract and open-price profitability; and quantifying financial exposure associated with pricing exceptions Strengthen pricing accuracy and compliance through the monitoring of pricing controls, governance standards, customer agreements, supplier contracts, and policy adherence, reducing pricing errors and operational risk Monitor and drive key pricing controls through creation and use of metrics and dashboards; identifying process gaps and assessing control effectiveness Prevent customer and financial Impact by identifying emerging pricing issues early, investigating root causes, and driving corrective actions (for example – reviewing pricing exceptions, investigating recurring discrepancies, and identifying emerging issues before they result in invoice disputes, credits, rebills, or profitability loss) Enable data-driven decision making by providing actionable insights, performance reporting, dashboards, and trend analysis that support leadership in prioritizing opportunities and mitigating risks Drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps & root cause, recommending enhancements, and ensuring corrective actions are sustainable, improving operational efficiency and reducing recurring pricing issues Promote cross-functional alignment by partnering with stakeholders across the organization to improve pricing performance, strengthen controls, and support key business initiatives Manage the execution of a wide variety of price realization initiatives and ad-hoc analysis as needed to support business opportunities Ability to grasp pricing strategy concepts, commercial processes, systems, and controls This Job might be for you if: Bachelor’s degree in finance/economics/math/analytics or post-secondary education with equivalent work experience, preferred 4 - 8 years’ experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Pricing or Analytical / Strategic role, preferred Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to display quantitative information in tables, charts, power point presentations and other user-friendly visual forms Ability to effectively document processes and deliver process improvements that address root cause identification Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to propose actions, identify and illustrate opportunities, make recommendations, and articulate financial impact of decisions to stakeholders with varying levels of technical ability and expertise Data management and manipulation, with advanced
