As a Category Manager at Google, you will be responsible to define and execute Google’s strategic sourcing for new data center infrastructure equipment and supplier management. You are an innovative and accomplished expert with extensive knowledge of infrastructure technology management, strategy development, sourcing and supplier/integrator relationship, performance and cost management. You will have a balance of both tactical and strategic experience and will have technical knowledge, business and commercial acumen, program management fluency, and possess strong communication, negotiation, teamwork, conflict resolution and relationship management skills. Deliver sourcing and supply chain objectives for Products in the Data Center Infrastructure space. Develop and execute category strategies to achieve total cost of ownership, lead time, capacity, innovation and quality objectives for the products managed through close collaboration with Google cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, operations, finance, etc.). Conduct complex strategic technology negotiations including comprehensive contractual agreements to deliver cost, lead time and capacity objectives for the organization. Implement supply chain, inventory and process improvements through supplier performance metrics, scorecards, business continuity plans and regular business reviews.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent practical experience 4 years of experience negotiating agreements for manufacturing, infrastructure or for technology product. 4 years of experience with New Product Introduction with engineering teams. Preferred qualifications: 7 years of direct experience managing data center infrastructure. Demonstrated experience with industrial engineering, preferably data centers or technical infrastructure. Manufacturing/Quality/Project Management or Engineering experience. Excellent investigative skills.
