About this role
Who We Are
Verkada is transforming how organizations protect their people and places with an integrated, privacy-sensitive AI-powered platform that includes solutions for video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management.
We’ve got serious momentum in the market: more than 30,000 customers (including 100+ of the Fortune 500), a $5.8B valuation, more than $1 billion in annualized bookings, and backing from CapitalG, Sequoia Capital, General Catalyst, Felicis Ventures, Next47 and more. Physical AI is one of the most consequential technology shifts of our time, and Verkada is at the center of it.
You can look at all kinds of communities to see our platform’s impact in the world. It's the retailer that uses our agentic AI to deter theft before it happens. The warehouse that uses AI-powered alerts to make sure its team is protected on the floor with proper PPE. The school that’s alerted to a threat in real-time and triggers a lockdown in seconds, not minutes. We’re rapidly scaling this impact: today, more than 2 million Verkada devices are deployed across 170+ countries.
About the Role
Our team drives global demand and supply planning across all hardware product lines, optimizing forward and reverse inventory across regional warehouses to fulfill customer demand.
As our planning systems and processes continue to evolve with the growing business and the data layer that connects them, we're looking for a data steward to own the foundational data engine and operational processes powering our end-to-end planning ecosystem. You'll build, monitor, and maintain the connected data flows that our planners, cross-functional stakeholders, and external suppliers all depend on to drive daily execution.
We are committed to a thriving in-office culture. This role requires that you be on-site at our office in San Mateo, CA 5 days a week.
What You'll Do
• Foundational Data & Pipeline Ownership: Own and govern the core data layer and automated pipelines powering our planning processes — including item master data, lead times, and purchase orders — as it flows between systems. Build and maintain reliable, reusable datasets to ensure high-integrity data flows and reliable system syncs across product lines, regional warehouses, and external suppliers.
• System Health & Incident Triage: Serve as the first line of defense for planning pipeline failures and system discrepancies. Rapidly trace data sync errors, diagnose root causes across connected platforms, and drive fixes with internal/external partners.
• Data Operations & Refresh Execution: Own and run the operational cadence that keeps planning data trustworthy over time. Drive recurring data load and refresh schedules to completion, enforce automated quality checks, manage change control for data updates, and convert manual, repetitive data workflows into scalable, automated processes.
• Reporting & Analytics: Partner with team members to build operational dashboards that power day-to-day execution. Collaborate with supply chain leadership to define impact metrics and transform raw data into actionable insights.
What You Bring
• Experience: 4+ years in Data Operations, Supply Chain Analytics, Analytics Engineering, or Business Intelligence. Direct supply chain/manufacturing data experience preferred.
• Systems & Domain Knowledge: Experience with ERPs (NetSuite), supply chain planning platforms, and warehouse management systems.
• Technical Toolkit: Advanced SQL (BigQuery,
