Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Public Relations Representative to support the Communications Team within the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division in Roy, Utah . Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure.  What you’ll get to do: As the integrated communications lead, you will be responsible for advancing communication initiatives for employee and external audiences, executing strategic communication campaigns intended to educate and inform our employees and suppliers, and build informed public support for Strategic Deterrence Systems programs. You will uncover and promote compelling innovation stories, enable our cohesive, innovative employee culture through events and communication programming, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels. Your responsibilities will include: • Developing and executing strategic media campaigns • Creating, writing and editing communications materials to educate and inform employee and external audiences • Providing crisis communications support and managing high-stakes media moments • Collaborating with digital, marketing, employee and program communications teams to ensure consistent, powerful messaging • Preparing written, video and graphic content for public release A successful candidate will demonstrate the following: • Ability to multitask, adapt and work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Quick study with attention to detail and a sense of urgency • Ability to translate complex, technical information into clear, engaging content for employee and external audiences. • Strong work ethic and positive attitude • A working knowledge of graphics software. • Ability to deal with ambiguity and work well under pressure with stakeholders at all levels • Strong collaboration skills and a results-driven mindset.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with five plus years of experience,  developing and deploying communications practices, or a Master’s degree with three years of experience A high school diploma/ equivalent with an additional four years of experience to considered in lieu of degree.
