General Manager 2 - Environmental Services / Custodial

Sodexo is hiring an Environmental Services/ Custodial Director for multi unit oversight of Berkeley, Jefferson, and our outer buildings which is all part of WVU Healthcare system. The successful candidate will oversee all EVS operations.   You will oversee Day Shift, (Monday-Friday) for the Housekeeping Department managing the team with a firm understanding of hospital regulatory and HCAHPS standards. Preferred candidates will be have excellent customer service experience.

In this essential leadership role, you’ll be responsible for guiding environmental services operations to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. You’ll manage day-to-day performance, oversee budgets, and champion safety while inspiring your team to meet and exceed service expectations. Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Progression within Career Band reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process and people leadership capabilities. Accountable for business, functional or operational areas, processes or programs, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management. What you’ll bring Proven experience leading custodial or environmental services teams in a fast- paced setting. Leadership presence with a focus on team development, engagement, and retention. Solid understanding of budgeting, resource planning, and operational performance metrics. Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in facilities or healthcare environments. A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and service delivery.
