Java Developer - Associate - Software Engineering Profile Description We're seeking someone to join our FORT (Operations Technology) team as a Java Developer. End-to-end delivery of large-scale distributed applications across analysis, design, coding, testing, and maintenance. The role supports secure and efficient global payments processing and requires strong technical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. This is Associate position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs. What you'll do in the role: • Take ownership of end-to-end delivery for large-scale and distributed Java applications. • Perform requirements analysis, solution design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. • Build and enhance secure, scalable systems supporting high-volume global payment processing. • Partner directly with business users and technologists across the firm to integrate frameworks and software. • Improve straight-through processing, platform stability, controls, and operational-risk management. • Collaborate effectively within global Agile delivery teams and take ownership of assigned deliverables. What you'll bring to the role: • 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in Java application development. • Excellent working knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Angular, relational databases, messaging (MQ/Kafka), and RESTful services. • Sound understanding of object-oriented analysis, design and programming, including design patterns. • Experience with iterative and Agile software-development practices. • Experience working in a global delivery team and interacting directly with business users at all levels. • Knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts and practical exposure to AI-assisted development tools or AI-enabled applications. • Familiarity with containerized applications and Kubernetes is desirable. • Experience with payments, SWIFT, and UI/UX is desirable. • Experience with BPM tools such as jBPM, Camunda, or Activiti is desirable.
