Pratt & Whitney, a Raytheon Technologies Company, is looking for a Frontend developer to join our Digital Technology (DT) Digital Manufacturing Applications team. This individual will be involved in the delivery of developing, enhancing, and implementing software solutions within Pratt & Whitney’s enterprise Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions, as well as integrations with other enterprise products for our internal Operations customers. This role will support the development of web-based solutions, troubleshooting of problems related to PW’s MES, resolving systems integration and compatibility issues, and supporting the application life cycle.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain UI components using React (functional components, hooks) Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into clean, reusable code Integrate front-end components with REST/GraphQL APIs Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality Debug and resolve front-end issues, performance bottlenecks, and cross-browser inconsistencies Participate in code reviews and follow team coding standards Collaborate with backend developers, QA, and product stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment Contribute to technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of experience in software development. Hands-on experience with React.js Strong fundamentals in HTML5, CSS3 Experience with state management (Redux, Context API, Zustand, or similar) Familiarity with RESTful API integration Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility Familiarity with version control (Git) Basic understanding of testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, or similar) Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing principles. Hands-on experience with TypeScript, JavaScript Familiarity with build tools (Webpack, Vite) Hands-on experience on backend Azure Functions, Resources & DB (RDBMS) Exposure to CI/CD pipelines Good communication and willingness to learn Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail Please ensure the role type defined below is appropriate for your needs before applying to this role.
