The Role and Team An impactful opportunity awaits as Medallia is hiring for a motivated Revenue Accountant to join the Revenue Accounting team within the Controllership, Assurance, and Operations (CAO) organization. The position will be responsible for reviewing revenue transactions and ensuring that revenue is recognized in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. This position will need to interpret, present, and explain complex revenue accounting issues to various internal business partners and external auditors. Set-up and review customer contracts, billing schedules, and revenue schedules in accordance with Medallia’s revenue recognition policies and ASC 606. Prepare monthly and quarterly revenue-related journal entries, unbilled and deferred reconciliations and prepare flux analyses. Prepare technical accounting memos and supporting documentation for complex contracts based ASC 606 revenue recognition. Partner with cross functional team such as FP&A, Billing, Sales, Revenue Operations, and Deal Desk on non-standard arrangements, providing clear revenue guidance and documenting conclusions. Mentor and coach revenue analysts (Offshore) and drive consistency across the revenue function. Identify and leverage technology to automate and innovate internal processes, including systems and process improvements. Contribute to special projects and ad-hoc analyses as needed. Ensure all revenue activities comply with SOX controls, documentation standards, and audit readiness requirements. Candidates based in the Buenos Aires vicinity will be prioritized as this role is Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field 2+ years experience in accounting in industry and/or public accounting with a focus on SaaS & software revenue recognition Demonstrated understanding of ASC 606 in relation to Saas business Demonstrated proficiency in NetSuite ARM(Advanced Revenue Management), SuiteBilling, and Microsoft Office Professional working proficiency in English, both oral and written Preferred Qualifications Certified Public Accountant Salesforce experience Professional Services billing and revenue recognition experience in a SaaS business Experience with implementing AI tools such as Claude or Google Gemini Exceptional analytical and communication skills Comfort with ambiguity and change, including the ability to adapt quickly as products, pricing, and systems evolve Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently Strong end-to-end process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking, organizational skills and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and precision in handling complex accounting procedures and reconciliations   At Medallia, we celebrate diversity and recognize the value it brings to our customers and employees.
