Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Collaborates with ML research, technology development and Product Management teams to define the roadmap of audio features for Pixel devices. Implement experiences and features direct, working with codebases throughout the stack from embedded to high level OS application. Decomposes projects into sub-components for team members to deliver. Designs shippable solutions that fit within extremely constrained compute environments, respecting power, performance, latency and user experience tradeoffs. Obsesses over Pixel Audio quality, polishing and perfecting product to create delightful audio experiences for users.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin or Go. 5 years of experience with Android application development. Experience working with embedded systems, or audio technologies. Experience designing business system solutions and partnering with product owners and engineering implementation teams to prioritize requirements and define the delivery roadmap Experience with cross-functional collaboration. Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. 10 years of experience in delivering consumer electronics products, feature roadmaps, or audio technologies. 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. Specialization in Audio processing, system optimization, performance tuning and market delivery. Embedded development with strong sense of engineering power, latency, performance tradeoffs. Ability to navigate software stacks and frameworks, from embedded systems to higher level applications; connecting software stacks to deliver end-to-end user features.
