Job Summary The Senior BI Data Architect serves as a strategic partner between business stakeholders and data stewards, and IT, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, documented, and translated into data functional specifications. This role is responsible for understanding complex business processes, mapping data flows, data assets, and translating requirements into scalable, high-quality ETL solutions. The Sr. BI Data Architect leads discovery efforts, designs integrated data workflows, ensures data quality, and guides stakeholders through business data architecture adoption. This position plays a critical role in enabling digital transformation, modern data platform adoption, and ensuring the company derives maximum value from it’s business data assets. Key Responsibilities Business Analytics & Digital Enablement • Cultivate relationships with business data stewards, data analysts, technology executives, and user/customer base to define data project goals, scope and objectives. • Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and improved data management. • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and business stewards, helping translate problems and data needs into data driven solutions. • Facilitate data workshops, data process mapping sessions, and cross-functional design conversations. • Communicate technical and data architecture concepts in clear, business-friendly language. ETL / Data Integration Responsibilities • Lead requirements for data ingestion, transformation, and integration across enterprise systems. • Design and support ETL workflows using Microsoft Fabric Data Factory, pipelines, Lakehouse, and related tooling. • Develop mapping documents, data lineage, and transformation logic for ETL processes. • Ensure data quality, validation rules, and reconciliation processes are well-defined and implemented. • Understanding the overall Business Continuity & Disaster recovery strategies and architecture at a data center / cloud operations level. • Alignment of data management best practices to enable efficient business end user data architecture adoption. Project & Change Management • Support project planning, UAT, deployment, and post implementation adoption. • Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and business rules using Microsoft Azure Dev Ops. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Pipelines, Power BI). • Experience designing and documenting ETL logic, data mappings, and integration workflows. • Solid understanding of SQL, data modeling, and modern data architectures. • Excellent communication and facilitation skills for executive, technical, and business audiences. • Ability to act as a consultant—guiding discussions, influencing decisions, and shaping business outcomes. • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities. • Familiarity with
