As a PPCO Supervisor you will be leading a team of Value Chain Engineers and Cost Engineers working alongside GM purchasing professionals on the cutting edge of technology, pushing the boundaries of efficient and effective material cost optimization, maximizing commercial opportunities. You will collaborate with Supply Base, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Manufacturing, and other business partners. This role involves a high level of independent judgment, initiative, creativity, and the management of multiple estimates that focus specifically on identifying accurate cost estimates as well as proposed cost reductions. Key job responsibilities: 1- Lead a team of VCEs and CEs to complete and optimize part costs: Confirm supplier cost reporting through audits Build up cost model with the help of GM standards and experts when you need them Analyze and compare costs for opportunities and gaps Use your analysis and available data to support buyers in the development of sourcing and negotiation strategies Analyze, organize, and understand large amount of data Comprehensive manufacturing process knowledge is required. An understanding of regional difference in manufacturing processes Travel to supplier facilities for enhanced costing collaboration and support of the specific engineering / purchasing team 2-Lead continuous improvement and cost reduction activities. Identify waste and inefficiencies at supplier sites Conduct on-site workshops with suppliers, if needed, to develop improvement plans to address opportunities identified through performance improvement tools Monitor/accelerate supplier implementation of resulting improvement plans to ensure savings are achieved and coordinate with the respective buyers to ensure the savings are realized Required Education: Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or other related areas Required Experiences: Project Execution – 5-10 Years Comfortable working with multidisciplinary and cross-cultural team s Ability to deal optimally with ambiguity and forward-thinking environment Experience in leading cross functional projects and teams English: Advanced Knowledge of harness manufacturing processes, cost-reduction initiatives. Knowledge of manufacturing processes in the electrical field, cost estimation and structuring skills, communication skills and presentations with leadership.
