As a Web Development Engineer, you will be part of a collaborative engineering team responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining modern web applications. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver scalable, reliable, and user-friendly experiences across FOX's digital platforms. You will contribute to the development of high-quality software, participate in technical discussions, and help ensure our applications meet both functional and non-functional requirements.  We’re looking for like-minded people for news-focused initiatives within the Emerging Technologies organization. This role helps extend and evolve digital products that support newsroom workflows, content discovery, and audience engagement.

Develop and Maintain Applications Build and maintain web applications using modern web technologies such as React, Node.js, TypeScript, Next.js, and related frameworks. Implement new features and enhancements based on product and business requirements. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. Collaboration Partner with UX/UI designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver cohesive user experiences. Participate in design discussions, sprint planning, and technical reviews. Code Quality Participate in peer code reviews and incorporate feedback to maintain engineering standards. Follow established coding guidelines, development processes, and best practices. Performance and Reliability Help identify and resolve performance issues, bugs, and usability concerns. Contribute to application stability, scalability, and maintainability. Testing and Debugging Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests. Troubleshoot production issues and support ongoing application improvements. Security and Documentation Follow security best practices to protect user data and application integrity. Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
