Overview
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an experienced, licensed Senior Architect to join our Science, Technology & Industry practice in our Rochester or Syracuse, NY offices! Prior experience with science, technology, and industrial focused projects including but not limited to healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech, gene-therapies, clean rooms, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, etc. is required. Responsibilities
Provide design guidance and technical leadership on STI projects. Provide consultative services and guidance to project teams as well as leadership and mentoring. Assist in determining scope, complexity, and planning requirements of projects. Participate in client meetings. Proactively keep clients informed, suggest next steps, and solutions. Establish & maintain positive relationships with co-workers and support and build others on the team and across disciplines/offices. Be responsive to others and share information to improve efficiency and help others achieve goals. Suggest new ideas and processes and stay informed of developments in the STI practice. Actively participate in professional conferences or other events related to area of expertise as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited university is required; Master's degree preferred. Licensed architect in New York or able to be licensed through reciprocity required. 12+ years of architectural experience with the majority of time spent in science, technology & industrial focused projects. Proficiency with Revit abilities. Ability to mentor is a plus. Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
