Are you ready to shape the future of water infrastructure? We are looking for Graduate Electrical Engineers to join our established and growing Water teams with opportunities to be based across our North and Midlands offices - Birmingham, Chesterfield, Leeds and Manchester while also benefiting from our flexible hybrid working model. The teams are delivering an exciting portfolio of water programmes and projects through long term frameworks with key clients including major UK water companies (Thames Water, Wessex Water, Welsh Water, Severn Trent Water, Southern Water and Yorkshire) and Tier 1 Contractors. You will have the opportunity to engage in all design stages, including Feasibility, Outline, Detail, and Construction Design, ensuring compliance with National and International Design Standards. Here's what you'll do: Electrical Design Support senior and lead electrical engineers in the development and management of all aspects of electrical design in wastewater and water infrastructure / treatment projects, including: Production of power supply capacity assessments and load calculations Production of electrical single line and cable block diagrams Production of cable calculations and cable schedules Production of lighting design specifications Production of Motor Control Centres (MCC)/Control Panel specifications including Instrumentation, Control and Automation (ICA) scopes Production of electrical specification documents Utilise Amtech, Electrical OM software design programmes Liaise with internal and external design teams, clients and contractors as appropriate Provision of timely reporting to both the client and internal team lead. Collaboration Work closely with civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineers to deliver a variety of interesting small and large projects from concept to detailed design. Many of the project teams are UK wide, offering an excellent, unbeatable opportunity to share expertise and broaden knowledge through the company. Digital Solutions AECOM’s digital strategy is driving the adoption of global digital solutions internally in our design process, to improve quality and consistency and streamline activities. You will help shape these digital offerings and use them on projects, including BIM, ProjectWise, intelligent P&ID’s and AECOM’s own tools developed in-house.
