Raytheon is seeking a talented and motivated Principal Systems Engineer to join our team within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline, supporting development of complex inertial guidance systems for space and military applications. Every day will bring new challenges, requiring you to collaborate across disciplines to troubleshoot issues, perform data analysis, and implement solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the success of mission-critical defense systems, and you'll have a hands-on role in ensuring the entire system functions seamlessly. This role is based ~100% onsite at a customer facility in Cambridge, MA.

In this Systems Engineer role, you will perform and/or support the following activities: Core Systems Engineering: Develop requirements and algorithms, concepts of operations, system trades, and system interfaces Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Develop and maintain detailed SysML descriptive system models, linking and synchronization of requirements, and generate design documentation / views Interface with cross functional teams, such as Electrical and Software engineering, to help guide subsystem development and ensure compliance with requirements throughout the entire product lifecycle Frequent interface with Customer and other program stakeholders and collaborators Conduct and/or support technical peer reviews and provide constructive feedback; Document and provide technical guidance to other members of the design team Communicate technical topics and issues in a clear and concise manner to both technical peers and non-technical team members Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience. Experience with systems requirements, systems software, and systems hardware; experience with systems integration and/or systems test is a plus
