This role will be located in Raritan, NJ & work a Flex/Hybrid schedule with 3 days per week on-site . Relocation assistance is available to qualified applicants. Our business offers a broad range of products and technologies, including surgical staplers, clip appliers, trocars and sealing devices—that are used in a wide variety of minimally invasive and open surgical procedures. Purpose The Director Project/Program Management, Wound Closure and Healing (PPMG) will be responsible for managing a team of Project Heads, responsible for cross-functional collaboration and execution to ensure new product program delivery.  Key success metrics for this role are meeting project objectives including, but not limited to, time to market, cost of goods (COGS), development costs, quality metrics and ability to meet projected demand. The role will serve on the WCH R&D leadership team advocating for projects with cross-functional peers and acting as a governance escalation point.  This team member will have career development, resource management and oversight responsibilities for a team of site-based or remote direct reports. This role requires strong collaboration skills and partnership with R&D, Global Strategic Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Supply Chain, Quality and Finance. The role also requires strong expertise in medical device development including a strong understanding of global regulatory and clinical requirements.   You will be responsible for:  Manages Project Heads (PHs) for Wound Closure & Healing (WCH) innovation programs Responsible for all executional aspects of WCH NPD Programs. Accountable for program tracking, acceleration, and risk identification and mitigation for WCH Programs. Raises concerns to the VP, WCH R&D and/or Operating Committee (OC) to ensure issues are being addressed and elevated to the right level. Owns input and operational expertise to aid the Head of PPMG for management reviews, including scenario development, trade-off implications and the evaluation/assessment of improvement opportunities.
