What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data architecture standards, frameworks, and governance practices
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure data solutions
- Develop and maintain conceptual and logical enterprise data models across domains and applications
- Define best practices for data modeling, integration, metadata management, data quality, and master data management
- Optimize enterprise data flows by reducing redundancy, improving accessibility, and ensuring compliance with security requirements
- Evaluate emerging data technologies and provide recommendations to improve enterprise data capabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic data initiatives and projects
- Analyze existing data landscapes and recommend improvements for scalability, reliability, and efficiency
- Work independently under limited supervision on complex initiatives with significant business impact
- Lead or support data architecture workstreams and provide guidance to less experienced team members
- Perform enhanced analysis, develop improvements, and may lead small projects or phases of larger projects
- May be responsible for entire processes within the job area with significant impact on department results
Skills & Capabilities
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise data architecture, including data modeling, integration, warehousing, data lakes, and cloud data platforms
- Experience defining enterprise data standards, governance frameworks, and architecture principles
- Proven ability to design scalable, secure, high-performing data solutions
- Experience creating conceptual and logical data models and aligning multiple business and technology stakeholders
- Strong understanding of data quality, metadata management, master data management, and data governance
- Ability to analyze complex data architecture challenges and implement sustainable solutions
- Experience evaluating emerging technologies and recommending improvements to processes, systems, and data capabilities
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
- Advanced professional knowledge gained through a combination of education and relevant work experience
- Leads discussions, presents findings, and provides recommendations to stakeholders
- Manages stakeholder expectations and facilitates team collaboration
- Responsible for continuous improvement of processes, systems, and data architecture practices
- Uses sound judgment and analytical thinking to resolve complex, non-routine issues
- Ability to work effectively in collaborative, global, and matrixed environments
