Summary :   This position   is responsible for   collecting semen and inseminating hens in   chicken   houses .    Inspecting semen to   determine   quality and   quantity for use as   well as inspection of hens for evidence of production .    Other duties may be assigned.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities :   Prepare for insemination process by equipment set up   such as:   funnel/tip collection, bird platform, step stool, microscope/densimeter, etc. (10%)   R etrieval and   meticulous   processing of males to collect semen   and females to   inseminate (50%)   Replace males based on fertility numbers (10%)   Inspection of   females   for evidence of production   (10%)   Utilize microscope/densimeter to   determine   semen quality;   utilize   visual to   determine   semen quantity (10%)     Other duties, responsibilities, and activities:    These may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice,   such as :   washing/disinfection vehicles; sanitize AI breakroom; trim beaks/vents; properly euthanize weak/ill birds   in accordance with   company policy (10%)     Biosecurity/Animal Welfare :   The   jobsite   is a   biosecure   environment which   requires showering,   changing clothing ,   and footwear before entering the facility .
