Associate Director of Value Execution - Remote

The Associate Director, Value Execution is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of strategic healthcare initiatives that improve member outcomes, enhance care delivery, and reduce total cost of care. They will partner with clinical, operational, analytics, provider, and executive stakeholders to identify opportunities, develop data-driven solutions, and execute programs that deliver measurable value across Optum Home & Community. The role requires a balance of strategic thinking, operational excellence, analytics and stakeholder management. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Support the design, implementation, and scaling of strategic value-based care and healthcare transformation initiatives, developing standardized operational frameworks, governance models, and execution strategies that drive quality outcomes, affordability, and sustainable growth across diverse markets and care settings Drive programs focused on reducing unnecessary healthcare utilization, improving care transitions, and enhancing member outcomes through data-driven strategies and collaboration across Medicare, Medicaid, and Special Needs Plan populations Analyze operational performance data to identify root causes, risks, and opportunities for improvement Design and implement scalable operational frameworks, governance structures, workflows, and execution tools that drive consistency and sustainable program growth Collaborate on performance metrics, reporting processes, dashboards, and monitoring capabilities to measure program outcomes and inform leadership decision-making Lead complex projects and pilot programs from concept through implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement Present actionable insights and strategic recommendations to senior leaders and executive stakeholders, influencing decisions and driving organizational alignment Collaborate with provider organizations, health plans, and internal business partners to improve care transitions, care coordination, utilization management, and overall healthcare outcomes You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

5+ years of experience in healthcare operations, value-based care, healthcare strategy, population health, consulting, or related healthcare environments Experience leading complex, cross-functional healthcare programs with measurable operational, clinical, or financial outcomes Demonstrated ability to analyze healthcare data and translate insights into actionable business strategies and process improvements Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders Proven solid program management and change management skills with experience leading organizational transformation initiatives Proven excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting Medicare, Medicaid, Dual Special Needs Plans (D-SNP), Institutional Special Needs Plans (I-SNP), or other government-sponsored healthcare programs Experience in value-based care, care management, population health, home-based care, or healthcare delivery transformation initiatives *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets,
