About this role

Amazon LEO is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon LEO will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity. Are you energized by solving complex, cross-functional challenges that shape how Amazon operates at scale? We are looking for a Program Manager III who thrives in ambiguity, brings structure to the undefined, and drives meaningful results across teams and organizations. In this role, you will own the lifecycle of programs with considerable business impact, partnering with stakeholders to define strategy, set priorities, and deliver measurable outcomes. You will use data to illuminate the path forward, craft compelling narratives that align leadership, and build mechanisms that endure well beyond any single initiative. If you are a collaborative problem-solver who is equally comfortable diving into details and presenting to senior leaders, this is your opportunity to make a lasting mark at Amazon. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Key job responsibilities - Define and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of cross-functional programs, including mission, vision, objectives, and success criteria, while driving alignment across multiple teams and stakeholders. - Analyze data to identify trends, measure program health, and drive improvements — proactively surfacing risks and proposing mitigations before they become roadblocks. - Author clear, well-structured narratives (such as six-page documents and status reports) to communicate program strategy, trade-offs, and progress to directors and vice presidents. - Partner with engineering, operations, and business teams to prioritize work, resolve dependencies, and ensure delivery milestones are met with the right quality and on schedule. - Streamline processes and eliminate inefficiencies by identifying automation opportunities, reducing unnecessary handoffs, and simplifying workflows to accelerate program outcomes. A day in the life You might start your morning reviewing program metrics dashboards, then shift into a working session where you facilitate a crisp decision among cross-functional partners with competing priorities. After lunch, you could be drafting a narrative that frames a complex trade-off for senior leadership, followed by a deep-dive with an engineering team to unblock a critical dependency. Throughout it all, you stay connected to the details while keeping the broader strategic picture in focus.

About the team

Our team is committed to delivering programs that create real, measurable value for Amazon's customers and business. We operate in a collaborative environment where clear thinking, strong written communication, and a willingness to challenge assumptions are valued. We are focused on building scalable mechanisms and simplifying how work gets done across the organization. If you are excited about tackling ambiguous problems and want to grow alongside a group of thoughtful program managers, we would love to hear from you.
