Logistics Warehouse Specialist, AWS DC OPs

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has an immediate opening for a Logistics Specialist. We are currently expanding our Infrastructure Operations team in AWS and are looking for an experienced professional to support inventory management process in warehouse of date center. Mission of Logistics is to maintain the necessary inventory levels for all Data Center infrastructure teams. Logistics team ensures the right parts are available at the right place and at the right time. Logistics members are responsible for end-to-end handling of IT hardware parts from receiving, storage, allocation to disposition. Key job responsibilities - Receiving, stowing and picking, packaging and shipping, sorting and counting of parts - Ensuring inventory accuracy and availability - Coordination with internal customers, vendors and procurement team for optimal inventory level - Storage facility management and administration A day in the life - Work on part requests from different technician teams and supply chain stakeholders - Manage courier vendors to deliver or pick up shipments - Stow parts according to requirements and make allocation, pack and dispatch parts for transfer - Review stock level and keep an accurate record for all attributes in inventory systems - Administer warehouse and datahalls to ensure parts stay at the right place - Return faulty parts and dispose obsolete inventory with vendors - 9 to 6 weekday work at data center with technicians as the only Logistics Specialist per site About the team Diverse Experiences AWS values diverse experiences.
