Key responsibilities in your new role Lead and mentor a team of DevOps, Automation, and PLM/Windchill support engineers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and operational excellence. Own L2 support operations, including incident management, SLA adherence, escalation handling, root cause analysis, and issue resolution. Manage service requests related to user access, roles, workflows, configurations, reporting, and application support. Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, standardization, and automation initiatives. Oversee CI/CD pipelines, release planning, deployment readiness, environment validation, and post-release support activities. Develop and implement automation solutions using Python, SQL, scripting, Windchill REST APIs, and AI-enabled tools. Monitor application performance, operational KPIs, incident trends, service request volumes, and backlog health through dashboards and reporting. Collaborate with business stakeholders, service owners, application teams, infrastructure, security teams, and vendors to ensure seamless service delivery. Maintain and enhance operational documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge repositories. Coach and develop team members while promoting best practices in DevOps, support operations, and automation.

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. 8–12 years of IT experience with strong expertise in DevOps, enterprise application support, automation, and production service management. 5+ years of experience leading technical or support teams, including planning, workload management, mentoring, stakeholder engagement, and escalation handling. Proven experience in L2 support operations, incident management, SLA governance, root cause analysis (RCA), problem management, and service request fulfillment. Strong hands-on scripting and automation skills using Python, Shell Scripting, PowerShell, SQL, PL/SQL, or similar technologies. Good understanding of Git-based version control, CI/CD pipelines, release management, deployment processes, and change governance. Experience with application monitoring, operational reporting, dashboarding, KPI tracking, and service performance management. Preferred knowledge of PTC Windchill, including workflows, lifecycle management, access controls, team roles, groups, administration, and REST APIs. Exposure to AI-driven automation and process optimization initiatives to improve operational efficiency and service delivery. Strong documentation skills, including development and maintenance of SOPs, runbooks, knowledge articles, and training materials. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
