Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Software Developer to join our Cloud Engineering team and help build the next generation of Mist’s cloud‑based network configuration and reporting platform. In this role, you will design and implement highly scalable distributed systems, own key cloud services end‑to‑end, and contribute to the platform that powers AI‑driven enterprise networking at massive scale Will be responsible for the verification and quality assurance of all features on Routing/Switching platforms with regard to multi-dimensional scaled solutions based on Enterprise Campus and branch as well as Data Center Customer Use Case, for HPE’s large customer base.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable, fault‑tolerant distributed services running in the cloud. Develop microservices and backend components using Python and Go, with additional development in Java for event‑driven stream processing systems. Build and evolve real‑time and batch data processing pipelines for AIDE, including event streams, ingestion pipelines, and ML‑driven workflows. Write high‑quality unit, integration, and functional tests that enable safe refactoring and continuous delivery.
Education and Experience
Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field. Typically 6+ years of software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Python, Go, or Java. 2+ years of experience building event‑driven stream processing systems using Kafka, Storm, Flink, or similar technologies. Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation. Experience working with distributed datastores such as Redis, Cassandra, or Postgres. 2+ years building or operating distributed systems using cloud‑native technologies or Kubernetes. 2+ years working with big‑data frameworks such as Apache Spark or Databricks. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, automation, and service ownership. Experience with ETL pipelines, ML training and inference, or data tooling such as Pandas/DuckDB. Good understanding of Linux and systems fundamental. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
