At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.
Why you should join
Join a dynamic global team at the forefront of new product development in the automotive industry. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence sourcing decisions from the earliest stages of product development, working closely with engineering, suppliers, and cross-functional teams around the world. This is more than a traditional procurement position. You will play a key role in bringing innovative products to market while driving supplier strategy, cost optimization, and project execution. Your main tasks
Lead sourcing activities for new product introduction (NPI) and product development projects. Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet quality, cost, delivery, and technology requirements. Partner closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and project teams throughout the product development lifecycle. Manage supplier engagement during the design and development phases to ensure project milestones are achieved. Drive supplier negotiations, cost optimization initiatives, and commercial discussions. Support make-versus-buy decisions and sourcing strategies for new technologies and products. Monitor supplier performance and proactively address risks related to cost, capacity, quality, and delivery. Participate in cross-functional project meetings and contribute to successful product launches. Coordinate sourcing activities across global stakeholders and supplier networks. Ensure compliance with procurement processes, timelines, and business objectives. Your ideal background
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, or a related field. Approximately 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, advanced procurement, NPI, or project management roles. Experience within the automotive industry is highly preferred. Proven experience working on new product development or new product introduction projects. Strong understanding of supplier management and strategic sourcing processes. Ability to work effectively with both technical and commercial stakeholders. Experience managing projects in a cross-functional and international environment. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Fluent in English.
Preferred Experience
Advanced Procurement or NPI Procurement. Automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers. E-mobility products.
