About this role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the commissioning, retro-commissioning, optimization, and lifecycle management of central utility plants and large-scale building mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will possess at least five (5) years of direct experience commissioning chilled water, condenser water, heating hot water, and large HVAC systems, along with strong project management skills and a solid understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and controls integration. This position will be responsible for identifying operational improvements, reducing energy consumption, enhancing system reliability, managing capital improvement projects, and ensuring mechanical systems perform in accordance with design intent and operational requirements. The successful candidate is a hands-on mechanical engineer who understands both the engineering and operational aspects of central plant performance. They are equally comfortable troubleshooting BAS sequences, leading retro-commissioning efforts, managing capital projects, and communicating recommendations to executives, operators, and contractors. They bring a strong focus on reliability, energy efficiency, and operational excellence while delivering measurable results across large facility portfolios.
