Position
Overview: The Maintenance and Facilities Technician will support the Manufacturing, OPEX and EHS departments by helping to drive continuous improvement in the electrical assembly operations. This achieved by maintaining the facility and production equipment on its best working condition, completing PMs and minimizing downtime. The position will support operations, and capital assets (equipment, machinery, building, etc.). In this function you will: Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment Read and interpret technical diagrams Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair equipment using a systematic process to identify root cause Mechanical and general facilities repairs, painting, carpentry, dry wall repairs, plumbing, HVAC, welding, roofing, landscape irrigation, toilets, sinks, and furniture. Troubleshooting and repair of Mechanical, Electrical, and Control systems Complete work on Continuous Improvement activities related to the facility as needed (5S+, TPM, Set Up Reduction, etc.) Supervise outside contractors on various plant projects and repairs. Qualifications: Required: High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial or industrial facilities maintenance. M inimum 1 year experience in the electrical field (with voltages from 24V to 480V preferred). Experience utilizing hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical schematics in troubleshooting scenarios. No relocation is provided for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the El Paso, TX facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. Preferred: Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial/industrial facilities maintenance or similar environment. 2 year technical degree or certification in either electronics, electrical power and controls, fluid power, HVAC or basic PLC programming Journeymen or 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade Licensed HVAC Technician, Plumber, and/or Electrician Bilingual (English/Spanish) Position Criteria: Able to utilize hydraulic schematics, pneumatic schematics, and electrical schematics in troubleshooting scenarios. Strong electrical background and experience. Basic skills in reading, arithmetic, and writing in English and Spanish. Knowledge and experience in commercial/industrial building trades. Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Windows-based software. Problem-solving skills/Strong verbal communication skills/Strong teamwork. Proficiency with verbal and written communications. Ability to use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists,
